Dear Chick-fil-A,

We represent the Cache Refugee and Immigration Connection (CRIC), which is a small nonprofit organization located in Logan that serves the needs of immigrants and refugees in Cache Valley. Our mission is to help these refugees achieve autonomy in our community. We would like to propose an exchange of an advertisement for Chick-fil-A on our website and Facebook page for a $5,000 donation to fund the purchase of winter coats for those we serve. We have chosen Chick-fil-A because we know you are a charitable organization and it is your mission to give back to the communities wherever your restaurants reside.
As a small non-profit organization, we rely primarily on donations to meet the needs of the families we serve. At this time our clients are in great need of winter clothing, specifically winter coats. We know Chick-fil-A has a great desire to serve those in their communities. According to S. Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A, “We should be about more than just selling chicken. We should be part of our customers’ lives and the communities in which we serve.”
A donation from Chick-fil-A would help meet the needs of the people we serve, and will also fulfill the goal of the company which is community service in Cache Valley. To show our appreciation, we would happily apply the company’s logo to our organization’s website and Facebook page for the holiday season. Although our organization is small, we are continually growing, and we know those who are involved with CRIC will be grateful.
We would like to request a donation of $5,000, which would help meet the needs of many of the refugees and immigrants in this valley. Through our research on the cost of winter coats, we have surmised that we would be able to purchase approximately 100 adult winter coats from Deseret Industries for the individual price of $45 each plus tax with this amount.

We are hoping to finalize this exchange by Friday Dec. 1, 2017, right in time for the winter season. CRIC would upload the Chick-fil-A logo on our website and Facebook page thereafter. If we are able to finalize this agreement by Dec. 1, 2017, we would be able to begin distributing the winter coats to the refugees who need them beginning on Dec. 4, 2017.

We feel this transaction will be mutually beneficial in that you will be providing the refugees in our community with a greatly needed  service. We want the families CRIC serves to know they are welcome in our community and to help them feel at home. For more details regarding this proposal, please contact Julie Taquin at (916) 291-5599.

Sincerely,

Representatives of Cache Refugee and Immigrant Connection,
